Requirements Analyst


Exostrategies is a small, agile professional services company that principally serves the federal government and provides affordable enterprise transformation services in anticipation of evolving threats to our nation’s critical infrastructure and operations.

General description:
Exostrategies is seeking a Requirements Analyst to join our team in the Colorado Springs, CO, area to assist with identifying, controlling, maintaining, and evolving an enterprise-level requirements baseline in the DOORS® tool.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Work with local and globally distributed subject matter experts and stakeholders to research, analyze, develop, and document requirements
  • Support establishment of the architecture’s technical baseline and ensure changes to the approved baseline are allocated, communicated and synchronized appropriately
  • Ensure all operational, enterprise, program, and interface requirements are appropriately documented and maintained in the DOORS database and flow to the correct specifications and interfaces
  • Validate flow-down of intra-program requirements from the system specification for bi-directional traceability between the requirements baseline and the source documents
  • Identify all unmatched DOORS requirements for resolution, and verify requirements traceability and verification requirements are met
  • Decompose high-level requirements into functional requirements to assist in planning, designing, and developing system solutions
  • Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status
  • Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements, architecture and systems documents, and products derived from requirements specifications to ensure the requirements are interpreted correctly
  • Use requirements data to support decision makers, strategic roadmaps, programs and projects, and others to manage transitional activities
  • Assist technical experts in reviewing functional and operational requirements to analyze the feasibility of implementing materiel and non-materiel solutions into existing capabilities
  • Manage data collection, analysis, quality and configuration management to ensure Exostrategies’ quality requirements are met
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize performance and ensure customer satisfaction


  • Four years of related experience to include requirements frameworks and best practices
  • Experience with requirements database tools, specifically DOORS
  • Experience working with DoD customers in an acquisition environment
  • Space operations experience, such as launch operations, satellite command and control, satellite and ground communications networks, cybersecurity, or space situational awareness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to learn and use new software programs, including Exostrategies’ Architex™
  • Solid work ethic including ability to work and represent Exostrategies with limited local supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Education requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in engineering, information technology, science, business, or other related area of study

Security clearance requirement:

  • Active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

Available work location:

  • Colorado Springs, CO
  • Some domestic travel may be required
