Enterprise Architect


Exostrategies is a small, agile professional services company that principally serves the federal government and provides affordable enterprise transformation services in anticipation of evolving threats to our nation’s critical infrastructure and operations.

General description:
The Enterprise Architect position represents a unique opportunity to join an expanding effort to improve U.S. intelligence community dissemination efforts to coalition partners. The Enterprise Architect works as a member of a strong technical team in conjunction with the program office, the combatant commands (CCMDs), and the services to develop and manage the global enterprise architecture (EA).

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Collect data to develop the EA based on the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Develop and sustain the required DoDAF products and fit-for-purpose views as required to support innovative architectural analysis and business management
  • Work with local and globally distributed program teams to collect data and develop EA reports in the appropriate government-selected tool suite
  • Lead technical team for short and long duration EA projects
  • Ensure DoDAF quality requirements are met, and identify and implement process improvements to optimize performance and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work with CCMDs to develop enterprise-wide intelligence information technology (IT) EA standards and processes
  • Integrate EA, project portfolio, and enterprise risk data into innovative decision support products
  • Learn and use Exostrategies’ Architex™ Decision Support Suite


  • 10 years of general DoD experience, with at least 4 years of EA experience
  • Background in DoD intelligence IT systems and capabilities
  • Familiarity with U.S. CCMDs (required), Joint Staff (desired), and NATO (desired)
  • Strong background with DoDAF 2.0; Unified Profile for DoDAF and MODAF (UPDM) experience desired, but not required
  • Experience in enterprise risk management and project planning
  • Ability to work and represent Exostrategies with limited local supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in a collaborative team environment including senior management, customers, and other business leaders
  • Ability to lead and manage small technical teams with limited oversight
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate directly with customers
  • Ability to travel (as required)

Education requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or related area of study
  • Master’s degree desired
  • ITIL certification desired

Security clearance requirement:

  • Active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
